Best Beginner Paintball Gun Buying Guide

We are going to discuss some factors that should be considered before buying the best paintball marker for entry-level players.

Let’s scroll down to get them.

Accuracy of Paintball Marker:

Accuracy is the bone backbone of your paintball gun, if your marker is not accurate how you will mark the targets. Consider accuracy is the most important factor otherwise your experience will be worst.

An accurate paintball marker will boost your confidence during the match because you can mark targets precisely, however an inaccurate marker will lose your confidence.

Weight of The Paintball Gun:

A lightweight marker will care for your shoulders and hands during the field, if you have a lightweight marker you can play comfortably even in the harshest conditions. However, you cant play for a long time with a heavy marker.

Material And Design of Paintball Marker:

Keep away from cheap quality paintball markers with a less durable body and other parts, believe me, it will ruin your excitement.

A good paintball marker comes with non-corrosive, extremely durable, and lightweight material to handle it comfortably. The combination of high-grade plastic and aluminum/carbon fiber is best for a beginner in terms of weight and durability.

Grips of Paintball Marker:

Grips of a marker should be non-slippery with premium texture to hold them comfortably, a slippery grip will frustrate you because you can’t hold it strongly.

Also, grips are responsible for accuracy as well because you have to stabilize the marker with grips, if your grips become slippery how you can stabilize your marker?

Easy Maintenance:

You have to clean your maker after a certain time, if the inner mechanism of your marker is very complex you will get frustrated after.

However, if your marker has a simple mechanism you can clean it effectively without wasting your hours.

Feeding Options:

Some modern markers come with a dual-feed option like you can feed in magazine and loader as well. If you are a military lover and you want to get a realistic feeling go for mag feed because loaders are unrealistic.

Though the magazine doesn’t have the capacity to hold hundreds of paintballs still lots of mag feed guns come with feed neck to adjust the hopper as well, you can utilize both.

Trigger of Marker:

A trigger of a paintball marker should be built from premium quality material because this is the most sensitive part of a marker.

It should be soft and comfortable to shoot quickly, some markers come with a cheap quality trigger that jams rapidly even during the match. Please stay away from those cheap markers.

Also, the trigger should be upgradable as well, so that you can add two fingers or dual fingers.

Barrel Size And Material:

Different marker comes with different barrel size and material, you have to choose the one which is super accurate and durable as well. A 14-inches or more will be super accurate for you, however, newbies get their work done with less than 14-inches, still, if you want to explore tremendous accuracy go for a 14-inches barrel.

Warranty And Price of Paintball Marker:

The warranty of a marker directly defines the durability of the marker, because the manufacturer is dam sure about durability that’s why they are providing such a long-term warranty. Make sure to select a marker with a long-term warranty.

Moreover, the price of a paintball marker should be midrange for beginners. As you are going to start your paintball career you will test lots of masks, hoppers, markers, and other equipment.

You don’t need to spend lots of money initially just spend less to enter the field and test out your friend’s marker maybe you will get your desired one.

Tippmann A-5 further provides us, Comfortable grips that are made from non-slippery material to get better gripping even in harsh conditions. Both grips have a premium non-slippery texture to grip them tightly, still, its gas-line distracts some players with big hands.

5. Tippmann Stormer Elite .68 Caliber Dual Fed Paintball Marker Black Review

Tippmann Stormer elite.68 Caliber Paintball Marker review

KEY FEATURES
 • Dual feed option.
 • Adjustable front and rear sight.
 • 9.75- inch 98 threaded super accurate barrel.
 • Comfortable adjustable grips.
 • Multiple Picatinny rails.
 • Semi-auto with sufficient firing rate.
 • Inline bolt design.
 • Collapsible stock with 6 adjustments:
 • Offset feed portal.
SPECIFICATION
 • Item weight: 3.5 pounds
 • Firing range: :150fts

Dual feeding is the most highlighted feature of this paintball marker, you can feed paintballs from magazines and hoppers as well. Obviously, you can feed more paintballs through the hopper as compared to the magazine.

Stormer Elite also comes with two comfortable grips and an adjuster to adjust the gap between them. Furthermore, both grips come with a premium non-slippery texture to get more stability even in harsh conditions.

When it comes to customization stormer elite comes with a bunch of accessory rails to add things like flashlights, sights, grips, etc. Also its adjustable front and rear sights, barrel, and collapsable stock are upgradable. Though you can change the positions of stock and sights, still you have the option to upgrade or remove them properly.

We suggest you to at least upgrade its barrel, as this marker comes with a 9.75-inch 98 threaded aluminum barrel, you will not get the desired accuracy.

Stormer elite has the option to integrate hopper from the offset. I personally don’t like to integrate hopper from offset because it can distract the vision of the left or right side. Also, you will get a dummy magazine that can be integrated when you are using a loader, however, you will get two working magazines out of the box as well.

When it comes to durability its body is made from high-grade plastic, one of our players is using this marker for a year and surprisingly its sturdiness is beyond my expectations, due to the internal gas line system we can make movements fearlessly.

PROS
 • Durable body.
 • Real-time military feeling.
 • Customizable.
 • Multiple feeding access.
 • Internal gas line system.
 • Accurate upgradable barrel.
 • Comfortable grips.
 • Budget-friendly.
 • Bottom ASA, no external lines.
CONS
 • Not easy to maintain.
 • Offset feed portal.
 • Not lightweight.
My Opinion:

If you are a military lover this is a perfect marker to get real-time military feels with lots of feeding options as well. Stormer elite is proved to be more durable, comfortable with tremendous accuracy. Also, you can do several upgrades like adding new barrels, triggers, flashlights, grips, etc.

According to our research, this is a complete package for a newbie to explore more features within a mid-range price tag. Though this marker has an offset feeds portal still you can aim from the top of any of the sides.

RATINGS FROM OUR SIDE: 9.1/10

6. Tippmann TMC MAGFED Paintball Marker Review

Tippmann TMC MAGFED Paintball Marker Review

KEY FEATURES
 • Dual feed Option
 • Super accurate 12-inch barrel.
 • Fully Pneumatic marker.
 • Over-molded non-slippery grips.
 • Safty button.
 • Internal gas line system.
 • Collapsible stock with 5 adjustments.
 • Multiple Picatinny rails.
 • Front and rear sights.
SPECIFICATION
 • Item weight: 6.5 Pounds
 • Barrel size: 12 inches 98 threaded.

The dual feed functionality will allow you to provide both options to feed with a magazine or hopper. You can feed up to 18-20 paintballs in the magazine, however, you can feed an average of 200 to 300 paintballs in a hopper depending on the capacity.

Moreover, you will get a dummy magazine and 2 realistic magazines, you have to utilize a dummy magazine whenever you are going to use a hopper.

Tippmann TMC also comes with a 12-inch 98 threaded barrel to mark your targets more accurately. though the 12-inches barrel is not that accurate still you have the option to upgrade it as well.

Other than that TMC comes with an over-molded rubber grip with a premium texture to get rid of slipping during the match.

Also, its internal gas line system is a lifesaver for me because sometimes the lines of gas break down during the match that is very frustrating. The internal gas line system comes with a bottom-mounted ASA from which we can integrate the compressed gas tank comfortably.

When it comes to durability Tippmann utilizes high-grade aluminum to built its “Receiver”, its receiver can last for years without any corrosion. Moreover, its other parts like a magazine, trigger, stock, barrel cover, and front grip are made from high-grade plastic.

Furthermore, TMC is super upgradable with multiple Picatinny rails to integrate sights, flashlights, etc. Also, its Collapsible stock will allow you to make 5 adjustments, you can broaden or narrow it accordingly.

Even you can upgrade its built-in front and rear sights, as per our research its sights are good for beginners, still, if you want to upgrade it you are good to go.

NOTE: Maintaince of this marker will be not easy for beginners, as its inner mechnisum is complex and big.
PROS
 • Durable body.
 • Impressive FPS.
 • Customizable.
 • No, visible wirings.
 • Accurate barrel.
 • Comfortable non-slippery grips
 • Dual feed options.
 • Collapsible stock.
CONS
 • Heavyweight.
My Opinion:

If you are hunting for a paintball marker having a durable body, milsim look, impressive accuracy, durability, and can be upgradable, this is for you.

This entry-level paintball marker comes with both mag and hopper feed, you can simply integrate the feed neck or magazine within seconds. On the other hand, it has proved inline bolt and internal gas line system, forget about breakable exposed wires.

I must say that this marker is a complete package for military lovers with one year of Warranty from the Tippmann manufacturer.
